Mr. Haddad oversees LKB's strategic development and manages overall operational activities for the firm. From 1984 - 1995, he served as Director of Civil Engineering and, from 1995 - 1997, as Vice President and Chief Engineer for design. In 1997, he was named President, and later that year organized the employee purchase of the firm.
As Principal-in-Charge of Construction Services, Mr. Hanuszek is responsible for quality control and technical direction of field inspectors and resident engineers. As Executive Vice President, Mr. Hanuszek monitors the administrative activities of LKB's operating departments.Mr. Hanuszek has over 42 years of experience on a wide variety of municipal and industrial construction projects, including highways, bridges, buildings, water/wastewater treatment facilities, landfills, site developments, and recreational and marine facilities.
Mr. Lappano leads the firm's environmental services department. He has over 40 years of varied environmental experience, including solid waste disposal projects, Phase II assessments, sewage pumping stations, Environmental Impact Statements, water supply projects, as well as the award winning Merrick Landfill Closure/Norman J. Levy Park and Preserve.
Mr. Ednie oversees LKB’s engineering design divisions including transportation, structural, site, civil and electromechanical engineering services. He has over 30 years of diverse civil engineering experience, including the design of highways, bridges, drainage systems, and site development projects. His vast experience includes working on numerous projects with clients such as the NYS Department of Transportation, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties, NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historical Preservation, and other municipal agencies.
Mr. Marino has expertise in the design and construction administration of highway improvements, storm water drainage improvements, site work and park renovation projects. A practicing engineer since 1975, he has an impressive track-record of successful performance as project manager/engineer, and resident engineer with projects ranging from under $100K to $30 million in construction cost. His work reflects a blend of practical, hands-on and theoretical experience gained from working in both the field and office in all phases of civil engineering over his career.
Ms. Wypyski has over 32 years of experience in a broad range of civil engineering projects including drainage and flood studies, site development projects, sub-division layout and design, municipal roadway improvements, sanitary disposal systems and sewage pumping stations, traffic and safety improvements, and urban highway design projects. She is adept at using several computer models to design drainage improvements and for floodplain modeling. Ms. Wypyski also participates in public outreach, presenting projects to the public for both informational meetings and formal hearings.
Ms. Heneveld is the Director of Environmental Engineering with over 32 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering. She is responsible for overseeing LKB’s environmental engineering design and construction projects, including landfill capping/closure, groundwater remediation, hazardous waste site remediation and water/wastewater collection/treatment. She also manages projects related to landfill post-closure management and the preparation of hazardous waste site remedial investigations/feasibility studies, solid waste management plans, solid waste disposal contracts and Environmental Impact Statements. Ms. Heneveld is experienced in all aspects of project grant funding/financing.
Mr. Gerlach is an earth scientist and applied hydrogeologist with 28 years of environmental consulting experience. As Director of Environmental Sciences, he oversees environmental science and hydrogeologic projects performed by LKB’s Environmental Services Department. Mr. Gerlach also assists LKB’s other engineering departments with the environmental aspects of their civil, electrical and infrastructure improvement projects.
With over 37 years of experience in the design, construction, and inspection of bridges and other structures, Mr. Culver oversees the structural engineering services at LKB. He has designed and provided project management for new and rehabilitated highway structures, buildings, substation towers, and waterfront structures and has applied his knowledge in the preparation of specifications, estimates, shop drawing review and construction consultation for projects throughout the northeast.
Mr. Fuhrman is a Project Manager and Team Leader with over 30 years of experience in site design and development. Over the years, Mr. Fuhrman has provided our clients with provocative and innovative design solutions, a proven trademark of LKB’s ingenuity and success. Career highlights include Senior Landscape Architect for the Award Winning Norman J. Levy Park and Preserve for the Town of Hempstead, the design and construction of the 9/11 Memorial at Tobay Beach for the Town of Oyster Bay, and the Empire Fulton Ferry State Park Promenade in Brooklyn.
Ms. Marino joined LKB in 2005 with over 16 years of experience in public accounting and auditing. She manages all financial and administrative activities at LKB. She is responsible for cash management, banking relationships, internal controls and financial procedures. She is the liaison with all governmental and financial audit teams, is responsible for the firm’s insurance compliance, and manages the employee benefits and the Human Resource Department.
Ms. Soldano is responsible for the marketing operations and strategic planning efforts for LKB, including all marketing communications, public relations, business development activities, and strategizing teaming arrangements. She also oversees client relations and regularly collaborates with various elected and appointed government officials, providing her with an in-depth insight into their interaction with the general public and businesses.
