In lieu of our traditional holiday cookie swap, this year we swapped our recipes instead! We’re looking forward to baking up some new delicious treats from our LKB Recipe Book this winter and HOPING YOUR HOLIDAYS ARE EXTRA SWEET!
LKB enjoyed fresh baked Amish Friendship Bread, along with other delicious treats. We wish everyone a HAPPY, HEALTHY, and SAFE Thanksgiving!
With November comes LKB’s annual food donation to Island Harvest. We are happy to contribute once again to their fight against hunger on Long Island.

Paul Lappano has retired from his post as Vice President of Environmental Services, a position he has ably filled since 2007. We thank Paul for his 38 years of loyal service to LKB, and we are pleased to announce the promotion of Theresa (Terry) Heneveld to Vice President of Environmental Engineering. Congratulations and best wishes to Paul and Terry on their new endeavors!
LKB proudly accepted a Centennial Award from the ASCE Met Section, and joined them in celebrating the accomplishments and contributions that we, as Civil Engineers, have made to the NY Metropolitan area over the last 100 years.
LKB hosted five middle school students who participate in First Lego League. The theme this year was, “How to Improve Bridges”. They presented their findings on “Smart Detection of Cracks in the Internal Structure of Bridges” while interacting with LKB engineers, to obtain real-life issues and concerns relating to their research topic.
This week, we recognize and celebrate not only our inspiring engineers, but all of the engineers who have had the courage to “think outside of the box”, enhanced our lives today and our dreams for tomorrow.
LKB had a “ROARING” good time at their 2020 Cocktail Party!
This year’s holiday breakfast was fun AND filling… with a menu featuring hot pancakes, fresh fruit, breakfast pizzas, bagels, cream cheese and lox, there was something for everyone to indulge in!

The heat was on at this year’s Marcum Workplace Challenge! It was a special year for LKB… for the first time ever, LKB was recognized at the awards tent, not once, but twice.
Another “I Love My Park Day” in the books! LKB celebrated New York’s park system by sponsoring this annual event and participating in a painting project at Sunken Meadow State Park.
