About this Project
LKB provided on-call civil engineering and site development design and support services for the County including design of roadways, bridge rehabilitation, stormwater management, landscaping, urban design (streetscapes), traffic signal design, improvements to pedestrian facilities including sidewalks and ramps, bicycle facilities, and survey and mapping. LKB completed the following projects under this contract:
Resurfacing Phase 21 was a federal aided project which included the resurfacing of approximately 8 miles of roadways in various locations. A design approval document, including an assessment of pedestrian facilities and ramps, were prepared and approved by NYSDOT and FHWA during preliminary design. The final design included milling and resurfacing, repairs to damaged curbs and sidewalk, drainage improvements, pavement markings and signal loop detectors.
Resurfacing Phase 46 included the resurfacing of 7 miles of roadways in various locations. The final design included milling and resurfacing, repairs to damaged curbs and sidewalk, drainage improvements, pavement markings and signal loop detectors.
Resurfacing Phases 36 & 49 included the resurfacing of 5.5 miles of various roadways, including sidewalk replacement. The work included field inspection of the roadways to document conditions and determine required rehabilitation measures. An assessment of handicap ramps and preliminary plans were prepared and approved in the preliminary design phase. The final plans included milling and resurfacing, partial and full depth pavement repairs, drainage improvements, replacement of damaged curbs, new traffic signal loops and pavement markings.
