About this Project
LKB was retained by New York State Department of Transportation to provide highway and bridge design, survey and mapping, hazardous waste assessment for five miles of highway reconstruction, widening of a four-lane boulevard to a six-lane freeway with flanking service roads. Work included the preparation of Right-of-Way and acquisition maps, design of three bridges, including state-of-the-art seismic design, traffic maintenance and protection program, environmental remediation plans, sound barriers, retaining walls, recharge basins, temporary roadway lighting, and temporary and permanent traffic signals for service road intersections. The project involved the development of detailed sequence of construction plans, in conjunction with maintenance of traffic plans.
